Marion Made Fashion Show

Originally inspired by the showcasing of the documentary “True Cost” at Marion Cinema House, the Marion Made Fashion Show began back in 2018 in an effort to bring attention to the harmful impact the fast fashion industry has on our environment. Now in its third iteration, Marion Made continues to seek to showcase sustainability in this collaborative gallery exhibition made entirely with repurposed materials by local artists and designers. Made possible though a partnership with Marion Arts Commission, this three piece show began with a locally-held fashion workshop on January 27th, followed by the fashion show itself on February 3rd. With cardboard mannequin forms provided by Henrik Soderstrom’s Ideation and Interpretation class, the gallery exhibition opened February 10th, and will be up through April 10th 2024.
